Unfortunately, Gather Town do not officially support mobile/ tablet devices.

Let's Get Xuntos, is a two-day conference which will run from 10AM - 5PM BST on the 14th and 15th October. 

We will be releasing a full schedule shortly.

During the conference, there will be a series of workshops, keynote sessions, panel discussions and lightening talks.

You can also interact with other event attendees and play mini-games.

Each employee will have a booth, with the option to directly apply for roles or register your interest for future opportunities.

Hosanna is an Azure Specialist at Microsoft, her role involves helping public sector organisations to digitally transform. Hosanna started her career in the technology space over 2 years ago at Microsoft and since has been using her experience to help guide, mentor and inspire the next generation of Women In Tech. Hosanna has participated in many activities to champion diversity and inclusion and empowers young women to believe that they can also begin a career in tech. She sits on the Women @ Microsoft Professional Development board and is the founder of The Tech Cornr, a platform she created to help women to pursue a career in tech.

Technology Manager, Foundervine

Stephen Chapendama is a Technology Manager for Foundervine, a social enterprise helping tomorrow’s founders shape the future. With experience across different sectors in tech, Stephen has worked for Raytheon UK as a Senior Software Engineer within Cyber & Intelligence and worked with tech startups in the health sector. Passionate about Technology, Diversity & Inclusion and also the development of cybersecurity communities in Africa. An alumni of the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc in Computer Science (Networks), Stephen has previously worked for the Infrastructure Development team at the University of Hertfordshire, focusing on SIEM and cyber security with experience in Networks and Security having worked at Fujitsu, BlackBerry & Bulletproof.

After graduating with a Master’s in UX Design & Management in Paris, Naomie started working for one of the biggest enterprise software companies. 2 years later, she now works as the sole UX/UI designer at a global tech company in London. Having transitioned from being a junior supported by a team, to being the leading design authority in a company, she has learned a lot as a professional and will be sharing her experience, thus far, with junior or aspiring designers.

Tolulope Ogunremi

Computer Science PhD Student. Stanford University

Tolúlọpẹ́ Ògúnrẹ̀mí is a keynote speaker and Founder of the award-winning Coders of Colour; an organisation providing underrepresented people of colour the opportunity to access a safe space to experiment with coding, and foster their passion for technology. With a firm belief that STEM education should be available for all, irrespective of their background, Tolúlọpẹ́ featured in Forbes 30 under 30 for social impact (at the age of 22), and is currently undertaking a PhD in Computer Science at Stanford University (one of the first Black women to be accepted to the course).

Metewanne Oraka

Metewanne is a recent graduate, previously studying mechanical engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is currently on the technology rotational graduate programme at Sky, completing rotations as a scrum master and insight analyst thus far. Experiencing the journey of transitioning from mechanical engineering, she will be sharing insight on various non-technical roles within Tech. As an individual with Dyspraxia, Metewanne strongly advocates for better neurodiversity across all spaces and will be sharing her experiences as a neurodivergent in the industry.

A Technology Entrepreneur and Digital Humanities Researcher, Joshua is hugely passionate about harnessing the power of Big Data/Metadata in cultural and societal spheres. He is a Co-Founder & CXO of Creditz Music (a social networking platform dedicated for all music creatives to show their work and connect with other creatives globally) as well as an MA Big Data in Culture & Society student at King’s College London.Joshua is also an incoming Doctoral candidate in Digital Humanities at KCL, where he seeks to investigate “the effects of missing metadata in the music streaming ecosystem”

Fiona Deans is Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Government Digital Service (GDS). She has worked in digital for 20 years and joined GDS from Barbour Logic, an organisation that provided local government with automated software solutions, where she was Managing Director.

Prior to that role, Fiona was COO at Arts Alliance Media (AAM), one of the companies that spearheaded digital transformation in cinema.

Before joining AAM she held business development and strategy positions at BBC Online, Atom Shockwave and Bertelsmann. She also worked as a strategy consultant for Mercer Management Consulting in London and New York.

Data Scientist – Government Digital Service

Alessia Tosi is a data scientist on the GOV.UK DataLabs at the Government Digital Service. She researches new methods to gain insights into complex user journeys on GOV.UK, leveraging her interests in data and behavioural science. She’s previously worked in various analytical roles across a number of government departments as a Statistics Fast Streamer. She is an ex-cognitive-science researcher who used to model how people speak and coordinate with others.

Suganya is a data scientist at GDS, she’s worked on parts of GOV.UK including related links, analytics, search, and feedback data. She previously worked in the private sector doing A/B testing and web analytics for e-commerce sites. Having started off with an internship where she learned to use Excel and query databases, she has gradually gotten into more technical and mathematical roles.
